Hundreds of casualties, 103 (some sources cite 111 inmates) of them were killed. Caradiru tragedy stems from the outbreak of war 'between the gang' in the prison, which extends to involve a lot of inmates. Police then brought in reinforcements. Actually at that many prisoners had surrendered by throwing their weapons.

They asked for police protection. But the police replied by firing on them. Brutal treatment of the police sparked protests everywhere, not to mention Amnesty International is campaigning for the prison closed in 2002. Amnesty International reported violations of human rights there that cannot be tolerated anymore. Not only that prison facilities are also so bad that spread the deadly disease. At that time the Chief of Police of the Metropolitan Sao Paulo is Ubiratan Guimaraes, he is considered the person most responsible for the outbreak of this tragedy. The case sparked outrage the world is brought to a chair Guimaraes convict. He was charged with the murder of 102 people. In applying the maximum security prison for inmates prevent attacks on guards or prison staff. Because of the inmates were isolated from prison staff. The prisoners suffered psychological torture for 23 hours just spent on his cell. They can not go anywhere. A prisoner in the ADX is an unforgettable nightmare for them. There they received the bad condition of that worst. Therefore, those who come here are the high profile criminals including who has many times in prison. Where the 'hell' that could lead to prison for life suffered. During 13 years of operation, two people reportedly killed prisoners at ADX Florence. One was Lawrence Klaker. Prison officials who arrogantly, warden rough, inhumane policy coloring the days of the inmates there. Do not be surprised if many are affected by a mental disorder due to psychological pressure that is outstanding. Just imagine, there is no prohibition for the ill and chatting with other prisoners, if naughty, awaiting punishment. Inmates are prohibited from issuing his emotions. They were forced to shut up! But before the entry of a new director, the prison is known very inhumane to treat the inmates. They force their prisoner to be bald and forced to wear uniforms that are numbered, they are fed with buckets containers. Inhabiting a small cell without any light. Here life is worthless. Inter-racial riots often happened. Ratio between prison guards and inmates are not comparable that is why a lot of things going out of control.

But to no avail. This prison facility 'terrible' far from standard. Here, the terrible events have occurred where children thrown in here and got a life sentence. Crimes against humanity seems to be a normal event. No wonder the prison's entrance in one of the most horrific prisons in the world.

Venezuela also has a prison not less brutal, namely La Sabanetaa, where violence is a 'fine dining' day-to-day. Facilities that are minimal, making the disease is so easily spread. Understandably, physician services were minimal, barely even there. Less food with a menu that is far from simple. Conditions in La Sabaneta prison inmates are bad from the worst. No wonder if the cholera epidemic had stopped here and took the lives of 700 prisoners. Here has ever happened mass massacres that took 100 victims of an inmate in 1994. Death is rampant at La Sabaneta. One little life could be floated. The lazy staff who takes care of inmates in prison, so that the inmates can freely do as they wished. They fight and even kill a fellow prisoner. The guards 'close eye' on this case.

3. La Sante Prison: (Paris, France)

As the prisons 'death' other, here was a worthless human lives. Rampant brutal treatment. Abuses managers prison inmates make life really is not worth it. Many prisoners eventually became insane. That prison cells full of fleas and rats, the stress made prisoners. It is ironic that the meaning of the word 'La Sante' which means health (health) in English. Because, in reality they are really life morbidly. Slavery among the jailers to inmates, inmate to inmate, has become commonplace. Rape is very high among fellow inmates and happens every day. No wonder if many prisoners cannot bear eventually committed suicide, or become insane. Throughout 2002 reported 122 cases of suicide occurred inmates. Followed by 73 inmates in mid-2003. Suicidal tendency is probably due to the terrible living conditions there. Prison who are too dense, minimal facilities, and the various violence that occurred there, allegedly as a trigger to suicide.
