Assam is the gateway through which the seven sister states are connected to the
mainland. Sikkim and some parts of North Bengal are also under northeastern

1.Assam:
Gateway
of seven children is surrounded by six other countries. Assam is one of the
richest biodiversity zones in the world and consists of tropical rainforests,
grasslands and wetland ecosystems many are now protected as national parks
Kaziranga. has thousands of acres of tea gardens dark green, Deep forests of
Sal trees. Assam is home to one-horned Indian rhinoceros, along with The Royal
Bengal Tiger and numerous species of birds, also one of the last wild habitats
for the Asian elephant.
2.Arunachal
Pradesh:
Land

Meghalaya:
Meghalaya
means "Abode of Clouds". Meghalaya lies in the strip of hills in the
east, an area a third of the forested countries. Meghalaya has many many
forests also have biodiversity of mammals, birds, and plants are diverse.
Shillong is the highest peak in the state and good for trekking. Meghalaya is
the wettest place on earth, annual rainfall as high as 1200 cm in some areas.
Village of Cherrapunji holds the world record for rainfall in a calendar month,
while the village Mawsynram, holds the distinction for annual rainfall.

Mizoram:
Also
called "the land of the Mizo people" Mizo means
"highlands". Mizoram is a land of hills, valleys, rivers and lakes,
it has a hilly terrain most colorful. Blue Mountain is the highest peak in
Mizoram. The hills are separated by a river, the river creates a canyon in
between the hill ranges. hilly terrain provides a mild climate throughout the
year. Mizoram is rich in flora and fauna and many kinds of tropical trees and
plants growing in the area. Palak lake is the main attraction and it is the
largest lake in Mizoram
