Summerwind Mansion, formerly known as
Lamont Mansion, is a warehouse on the West coast in the Gulf of Lake Vilas
County, North East Wisconsin. That area is one
of the most haunted areas in Wisconsin. His condition is now derelict and
abandoned. This is because it never happened in the great fire that almost
destroyed all buildings there.
Summerwind was originally constructed in
the early 20th century as the mes fishermen. In 1916 was purchased by Robert P.
Lamont, who worked as an architect in the company of Tallmadge and Watson. Then
he renovated the building and stay there. But before he had been warned that
the building is haunted.
But he did not believe it until then he
himself met with the 'gatekeepers' of the house. The incident took place in
1930 era, Lamont saw ghosts in the kitchen of her, making her ass ran leaving
his house.
After the departure of Lamont, the house
was left empty and abandoned.
In the 1970s, the couple, Arnold and
Ginger Hinshaw bought the house and lived with her four children. Since mulau
living, the family is often plagued many strange things.
Hinshaws reported a number of strange
occurrences, ranging from shadow moving from bottom to top in a low voice, and
stopped when they entered the room, or windows that suddenly open themselves.
They reported several times to see her ghost around the dining room.
Perhaps because of stress, within six
months after moving into Summerwind, Arnold fell ill and Ginger, his wife,
attempted suicide. Arnold finally admitted to hospital, being Ginger moved in
with her parents in Granton, Wisconsin.
In June 1988, Summerwind hit by
lightning several times that trigger fire and burn the house. So much of the
building was badly damaged. Which oddly enough, lightning struck again and
again, but in a lot of tall trees surrounding the building beyond that but did
not participate lightning.
Currently, the building was no longer
form the foundation of the house, leaving only untreated.
