These stories are presented by generations and is
known for touching the heart, even to hear someone tell it again through the
film. I hope these stories inspire us to keep on loving.
1. Annie Oakley and Frank Butler
If you know the 1940 Irish musical film entitled
"Annie Get Your Gun", is inspired by the true story of Annie Oakley
and Frank Butler. Annie Oakley was a shooter. In 1881, Baughman and Butler
shooting performances held in Cincinnati. Frank E Butler challenged the local
shooters to compete shoot. But Frank was surprised when the challenge is
accepted by a man named Annie Oakley. In their battle, defeated Butler and
Annie won the race to shoot them. In addition, Butler also fell in love with
Annie, and eventually they were married on actionable dated June 20, 1882.
Frank retired from the shot and focus more on building a home with Annie. Annie
died in 1926 and Frank died 18 days later.
2. Salim and Anarkali
Prince Salim is the son of an emperor Akbar (The
Great Mughal emperor) and his wife Mariam-uz-Zamani. Prince Salim was known to
be unorganized and disrespectful that falls in love with a palace maid named
Anarkali. They both are in love, but it is not sanctioned by his father as a
woman who thinks Anarkali teaser. His father then look for any way to separate
her from Anarkali. The father then sent prince Salim for a task, and when it
was too Anarkali buried alive on a stone wall. This story makes each pair shed
tears when listening.
3. Antony and Cleopatra
It's a love story between nations, between the
handsome Mark Anthony Roman and last Pharaoh of Egypt, Cleopatra. This story
takes place around the year 31 BC. The story is then told again by the famous
writer Shakespeare that make this story known worldwide. Mark Anthony is told
to leave his wife, Octavia, for beauty seduced by Cleopatra which eventually
marry. Octavia's brother, that Octavian, then destroy them both with the Romans
borrowed. Told during the war with the Romans, Mark Anthony got word (which
turned out to be false news) that killed Cleopatra. Mark Anthony committed
suicide because they believe it will be news. Cleopatra heard that her lover
was dead, eventually committed suicide by poison. The story is almost similar
to the story of Romeo and Juliet from Verona, Italy.
4. Juan and Evita Peron
Juan and Evita Peron are a couple Argentina
around the 1940s. Evita is itself a second wife who is the president of
Argentina Juan. Evita became first lady from 1946 until he died in 1952. Evita
own background is an artist. And Juan Domingo fell in love with and married a
young Evita. Both very influential political role that could change the face of
Argentina, they even dubbed the best political partner in that era. Evita
himself eventually died of cancer. Perhaps we could hear that famous song
titled "Dont cry for me Argentina" sung by Madonna. At that Madonna
played Evita in her music videos.
5. Tristan and Isolde
Isolde was the daughter of the King of Ireland.
He then engaged to the king Mark of Cornwall, but in fact he fell in love with
Tristan who is the nephew of King Mark. Their affair continued even when Isolde
was married to king Mark. Finally, the affair was known to the king Mark, but
because so love the king on his wife, he forgave his wife. However, the king's
nephew expel from Cornwall. Tristan eventually go to Britanny and Iseult
interested because his name is similar to Isolde. They married, but can not
forget Tristan Isolde. This made him sick and write a letter to Isolde and
Isolde hope this can treat his wounds. When Isolde agreed to come and meet
Tristan, he had white boarding. If not, the ship must be black. Iseult who did
not want to part with Tristan, Tristan lied by saying that he saw the black
ship. Tristan eventually die from the grief before Isolde came to see him.
Isolde finally died of a broken heart.
6. Prince Edward and Wallis Simpson
For the love of Wallis Simpson, Prince Edward
willing to sacrifice their wealth and power. Britain's Prince falls in love
with an American Wallis Simpson and married. Wallis Simpson finally divorced
her husband and started a new life with Prince Edward. Wallis certainly can not
be the queen of England as an American. Prince Edward himself ascended the
throne in 1936, but soon abdicated in order to marry her lover. Prince Edward
and he died on the 28th may 1972. Wallis then aloof and died 14 years later on
24 April 1986.
7. Pyramus and Thisbe
It is a popular love story of Babylon. This love
story began in the year 331 BC. Pyramus is a handsome man who is a childhood
friend of Thisbe. They live in the same neighborhood and love growing between
them. But this is opposed by their parents. They then decided to run away and
meet near a tree. Thisbe came first saw a lion whose mouth was covered with
blood. Thisbe scared and ran. While running she dropped her veil so taken by
the lion. When it comes Pyramus and Thisbe saw the veil in the lion's mouth
(covered in blood). In deep sadness, Pyramus and then killed himself with a
sword in his hand. Thisbe who can not live without Pyramus, then killed himself
with the same sword
