decorations, such as bats, skulls or skeletons, cobwebs, and sometimes ornate
fixtures shaped like broomsticks and magic where witches cauldron made of
various drugs or toxins magic will appear where- Where. Not even a little
ornament featuring a vampire or vampire-style casket appeared in various homes.
Actually what happened until this spooky
celebration department?
As wrote the history behind this unique
celebration?
Many theories have developed about this
Halloween, but the most widely accepted theory is that the celebration of
Halloween is derived from the ancient Gallic nation celebration called Samhain,
which roughly means "End of Summer". This celebration is believed to
be the end of the "bright future" (spring and summer) and the
beginning of the "dark period" (autumn and winter). Nation of ancient
Gauls believed that on October 31, or on the day before Samhain, the boundary
between the real world and the unseen world will be very thin, so the residents
can cross into the unseen world of our nature.
In celebration of Samhain, usually on the ancient
Gauls will hold a big celebration for their ancestors long dead and
"invite" them to sit down to eat together, while spirits or
supernatural beings are evil will be expelled from their homes. To further
complicate the evil spirits or supernatural beings spreading negative
influences in their midst, then the population would use a face mask with a bad
or evil supernatural beings dress up as before, so that the evil supernatural
beings was considered that they should not be disturbed and let go with a
festive celebration .
Of traditions and beliefs traditional costume is
growing up now, even though Halloween in today's modern world, there is no
longer a costume spooky costumes, but many unique costumes ranging from animals
to superheroes or cartoon characters.
If so, why the name changed to Halloween?
Apparently the name Halloween comes from the
efforts of the Church to stop people celebrating the festival of Samhain is
considered contrary to the Christian celebration. The church adopted the
celebration of Samhain became All Saints Day (All Hallows Evening), with the
expectations of the population of Gaul in the celebration that will leave the
church considered.
From the name of All Hallows Evening, people
shortened it to Hallow's Even, and the longer the name that is shorter so it
became Halloween. Interestingly, although the name and a celebration
celebrations church, the Church still can not change the shape and traditions
in the celebration.
So what is the real Jack O'Lantern?
Jack O'Lantern is a legend of the Irish. Legend
tells of a peasant cunning and resilient plus cheapskate who managed to fool
the devil. He managed to make the devil up the tree and then carved in tree
trunk cross shape before, so the devil can not go down easily.
At the time of his death, he was not welcome in
Heaven, as cunning and bad acts he did for a living, but Satan also refused him
to enter Hell with anger ever cheated by Jack. But eventually the devil be kind
enough (or more evil) by giving a candle to accompany him on a walk in the
dark, because it can not be accepted in Heaven or Hell. Candles had been placed
in the Turnip (countryman radish).
On immigrants from Ireland came to America while
continuing to maintain this tradition, unfortunately, not many Americans found
Turnip, so they end up choosing other vegetables available, and can replace
Turnip. Choice finally fell into a pumpkin (pumpkin) are more numerous and
easily found in America. From here it is, Jack O'Lantern pumpkin became famous
from all over the world.

costume carrying a basket, and knocked on the door shouting "Trick or
treaaaat". Actually this is a threat, because the original meaning is, if
you do not provide a "treat" or food, we'll do a "trick" or
misbehavior against the house earlier. Homeowners will come out and reward
various sweet foods such as chocolate or candy in their baskets. Actually like
what initially tradition?
